Ocean County is nestled right along the famous Jersey Shore in the heart of New Jersey. One of the fastest growing counties in NJ, with Lakewood as its most populated city and Jackson, NJ being its largest city in size, covering over 100 square miles. Established in 1850, Toms River, NJ is the county seat. Ocean County is approximately 50 miles east from Philadelphia and 70 miles south of New York City, New York.

The infamous Battle of Monmouth was fought in Freehold Township with George Washington defeating the British in what is one of the longest battles in the Revolutionary war in 1778.
